Please Help:E90 Factory Alarm Question
Hello everyone. I'm a proud new owner of a 2008 E90. First, thanks to all who have posted topics on direct wiring of radar detectors and GPS devices. I spent yesterday doing this and the results were great. However, as I was attempting to find a switchable fuse to tap into, I pulled the fuse for the alarm "chirp" sound. Now, when I activate or deactivate the alarm no "chirp" is heard. Otherwise, the alarm works from what I can tell (locks, red light, etc.). I rechecked this fuse and it is good, but I still replaced it anyway. Is it possible that by pulling that fuse, that I messed up the alarm system? Do I need to visit the dealer to have it reset? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have it set correctly in the computer. This morning I even undid the fuse taps and the alarm sound is still out. Could removing the fuse have created a problem?

Thanks for the reply
Well, I unhooked the battery last night for 15 minutes and that did not help either. I called the 2 dealers in my area and they were little help. I only heard "hey, bring your car in and we can look into the issue". I wish they could have given me some ideas to try on my own
