Question about buying set of wheels without TPMS installed...

I have a 335i with the TPMS system and stock wheels & tires. I'm looking at buying a 2nd set of wheels with the tires already mounted to the rims. The new set does not have TPMS installed. I did search, and read through the DIY on how to install TPMS on your new wheels... but in order to do that, I'd need to dismount the tires that are on the new wheels, dismount the tires on my stock wheels, take off the TPMS system (or buy a new one), install the system on my new wheels, then have everything remounted/balanced/etc. Not only is that time consuming, but it's going to end up being fairly expensive. So I've pretty much decided that I'll just have to live with the warning light.

Will I be able to remove my current stock wheels and tires and then bolt up the new wheels and tires without a problem (other than the warning light in my dash)? I've changed sets of wheels on many, many cars in the past, but none had anything like TPMS. I'd hate to buy these new wheels and then find out I can't put them on the car (or take my old wheels off).

Thanks!

I would rather take the time consuming route and have the TPMS swapped. My gf's tire sidewall went out and I wouldn't of known without the TPMS being there. Sure, you are just going to get a warning light, but why not use the functionality if it is already provided?

Well, yeah, having TPMS is a good thing. But like I said before, all of the cars I've ever had in my life have never had TPMS and I got along just fine. Ideally, I'd just be able to turn the system off when I had my summer wheels on, and then turn it back on when I put the stock wheels on for the winter... but apparently that isn't possible. It's almost as if BMW, in providing nice technology in TPMS, has made it a pretty big headache to ever swap out your wheels.

Rather than going through the money and time to get a new system for the new wheels, or having to swap systems out for each set depending on what I put on the car, I'd rather just deal with the warning light. That, or not bother to get the new wheels.
