Paris 2008 Highlights - Lexus Convertible / Audi Metro
Of course there were some Bimmers (3 series, 7 series, X1, etc). But these two from Lexus and Audi caught my eye also:

I think the Lexus vert looks good. They got a lot right with it. Yes, it's a bit boring, but it's a Lexus and it's going to appeal to the type of people that Lexus' appeal to. The one thing I really don't like about the Lexus vert is the very awkward connector between the D-pillar and the body of the car when the roof if up. It's like the designers ran smack dab into the wall of physics and decided to just give up at that point. This video provides a closer look at what I'm referring to. Other than that, it looks nice. Not earth-shattering or pop a woody sexy, but far from extremely ugly. As for the Audi, I'm digging that too. I'd like to see Audi come out with a sub-compact, if for nothing else, than to drive some competition into a upper end of that market, which is dominated (strangely) by Mini at the moment. |
