Looks like a Zagato style bloated front grille. Is this a Zagato run?

I hope it looks better than I expect. I feel like Aston is hitting a wall in terms of design evolution.

This...thing...doesnt blow me away so far The DB9 was all good when it first came out, but now it's starting to look dated and I want to see a new design direction. Right now the AMV8 is my fav model, I love it.

Exactly. The Vanquish sort of spurred the new language, and the DB9 was a large improvement (much more streamlined and modern looking), and the Vantage perfected the look. The DBS looks good, but looks excessive and has a been-there-done-that feel.

Unfortunately that's how I'm thinking this is going to be. It looks like another DB9 spawn-off. We need to see a whole new design revolution; no more evolutions.

As far as I know mate they didnt show the rear-end. I looked for it too. Here's an official teaser though, I brightened it up for you.

Holy shit holy shit holy shit this is gonna be crazy. LOOK AT DAH DIFFUSAH. Look at how the greenhouse/roof line pinches inwards as it nears the tail (like an Altima Coupe on crack)! Hmm, I'm probably gonna take back whatever it was I said earlier.

They've used the same formula since the early '50s and the DB2.

And if you build a front engine, rear drive, 2 seat (or 2+2) GT car, it's going to have the basic shape set in stone. It has been since the category was introduced in the '50s and only detail changes differentiate one make from another, and model years. Aston has a family resemblance that has served them well since they were first created. Changing that now would be silly, especially since teh newest iteration has been the most successful and widely considered the most beautiful of all of them.

Start with that DB2 I posted, add modern headlights, modern window flush mounting, and modern bumpers/wheels/tires, and it's not that far off of a modern Aston. But you can say the same for any long nose, front engine GT from the Ferrari 250 GTO/275 GTB, and Daytona, the '80s Mazda RX7 and Porsche 944, and literally hundreds of other cars over the last 5 decades.

This car just takes that basic formula and makes it even more modern and even more aggressive, while retaining the Aston lineage that goes back to that previously pictured DB2.

I think it's a good thing, and feel the same way about Ferraris and Porsches.

WOW. I have always been a fan of AM.

Got $2.5 Mil? Wait, why is it that expensive? Even if I had that much money, I would not spend that much on a car!
