Angry WTF! Ironman blu-ray all sold out from FS & BB!

I didn't know that blu-ray being that popular in Canada! I spent hours and went to 3 FS & 2 BB in Richmond Hill & Markham area but they all sold out the blu-ray version of Ironman! Last year I dun have ne problem getting ne blu-ray or hd-dvd on Transformers, Spiderman 3, Shrek3, Ratatouie...etc. Damn! I think I have to pre-order the Hulk, Hancock, Batman, Wall E now!

have you tried using the in-store availability check feature from best buy and future shop? that way you don't have to actually go to the store.

hmv might have it as well...

+1, or call them up to check for stock instead of wasting gas

Friends told me BB & FS from Scarborough also have plently of them. Seems like guys from Richmond Hill & Markham are more willing to adapt the new technology then other area in GTA.

Yup, already did that before I left for work but seems like everyone went to get a copy of it after work....

Yes they do have priate copy of Blu-ray but I am not going to risk it!

NEway, I able to get it from Walmart @ Markville mall. They still have tons of it on rack. Watch it last night. Damn it is absoulety the best blu-ray that I ever saw! Heard the Speed Racer also has stunning PQ but I am sure I will fall asleep in less than 5 min! Can't wait the Dark Knight & Kelly Chen concert coming out in blu-ray

Don't forget to call me to get an E90post price when you decide to get that new projector...

Charlie335, I find the entry level Sony / Samsung Blu ray players (as cheap as $299) to be the best value / performance compromise these days.

It IS weird how my local Futureshop was sold out of Iron Man on Blu ray, but the Best Buy across the street had 50 in stock.

Do you work in the audio/video industry? I have a projector sitting in a box waiting for me to finish to my basement at which point I will need to buy some new AV stuff.

I just got a blu ray player from best buy in markville and wanted to get a copy of Ironman, but none on display. I asked the guy and he looked and said they had over 20 in stock. Went away for a few minutes and came back with a whole box of them.

For a blu ray player I just got the PS3. I was trying to decide between a sony bdps350 ($300ish), bdps500 (reduced to $280 in bb), a samsung which was also $300 and the PS3 which was $400. In the end despite planning on buying no ps3 games I went with the PS3 since I thought I may also like trying to use it for streaming content from my pc to my tv.

Just watched Ironman on it and I'm impressed with the quality. I tried using a PS2 as a dvd playr years ago and the quality of that was very poor compared to even the cheap stand alone players so I had some hesitation of going the PS3 route, but after reading reviews and other users comments I went with it and so far (after a while 15 hours of ownership) I'm pretty happy.

Yup, I have a custom A/V firm...

... not only is the PS3 a really good Blu Ray player, but it also is one of the fastest, with respect to power up and disc loading time!

It's only real weaknesses are that it can't be programmed into a universal remote (you have to use it's cheapo remote) and it has limited output options (only HDMI / optical)

What's the name/website? if it's against policy to post it can you pm it to me. I've got a projector (infocus 5700) which I had set up with a 109" roll down screen when I was in my condo, but oddly since I've moved into a house I don't have the room for it until I finish the basement which I'm hoping to do next year.

I had my AV amp stolen during my move (can't remember the exact model, but it was a Denon 5.1 dolby/dts decoder and amp) so when I come to set it up I at least need another AV amp.

Also, PS3 is the most future proof unit.
