02 sensor question

Installed RR catless Dp's a while back and i keep getting a SES light and code P0036 - HO2S Heater Control C ircuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2). I clear the code with my reader and it'll pop up again next day or two.

I'm pretty sure the 02 sensor needs to be replaced, but can anyone tell me which sensor is "Bank 1 Sensor 2"?

Here is a pic for reference.... would it be front or rear downpipe and front or rear sensor on that downpipe.... Thanks

I might be totally off my rocker on this, but if you installed DP's don't you need an O2 sim to prevent CELs?

yeah, but this is a totally different code. 02 sims get rid of P0420 & P0430 codes i believe. Plus i have 02 sims installed already.... so this is an unrelated code. I'm pretty sure 1 of my sims is bad, just need to find out which one is actually "Bank 1 Sensor 2"

Thanks tho

When I had that issue, I thought my O2 sensor(P420 code) was bad too. But come to find out that wasn't the case. It was because I had accidentally pushed in the two pins on the small black sub-connector on the stock ECU box. So the connection wasn't there, after gently pulling the pins out a bit with a needle nose plier, reconnected the small black sub-connector and the CEL went away.

Hope this helps

That does help out... thanks for the link
Should be DP closest to front of the car and the sensor after the cat.

thanks, but i'm not getting the P420 code... i'm getting P0036, which indicates that the heater circuit for that specific 02 sensor is failing.
