Ipod Interface

Anyone know how much the new Ipod interface will be when it hits the street? Getting tired of the lame AUX setup with the Belkin cigarette lighter hookup.

As of a few days ago, pricing was not finalized but it will be more than the current model and less than a 30 GB ipod. Pricing will be announced in early July.

Less than a 30 GB iPod installed? I'm guessing not.

Plus installation.

Pricing should be finalized soon and made public. I will check on that today (i.e. "when").

If you look at the info on the bmwusa.com (how to ipod your bmw -> install), it says MSRP $149 + installation (less than one hour). But BTW, when will it be available? July?

Yeah, the text is ambigious there. The same text also says the adapter isn't compatible with CD changer and/or Sirius. I thought the new adaptor connected as if it were a CD changer, which I didn't think would interfere with the Sirius. Thoughts, anyone?

I think all of those details are for the old interface. The new interface supposidly takes the place of the cd changer but will still work with SAT.

JSpira will post any minute now to confirm that those specs and prices are for the old interface. Pricing on the new interface is not available yet. And yes, the new interface will work with Sirius.
