iPhone music & iDrive

I'm trying to play music from my iPhone and After I connect it I select "aux" I find that I can only control the volume and no track list is displayed on iDrive.

What am I missing? I thought I could fully control the music from the iPhone/iPod.

Do you have the iphone adapter, or just the regular AUX slot?

You will need a Ipod interface kit for it to show up on the idrive.

I do have the adapter and USB slot
