If you'd taken a look at my previous posts in regards to Longtran's PMB, you'd know that I've had nothing but well-wishes, however unappreciated, for his project and if I had an E90 I would seriously consider furthering his cause. That's hardly disrespectful towards Longtran.

HOWEVER, what is disrespectful is people coming into this thread, accusing JLevi and Umnitza (let's just leave Brex out of this, because we have no clue who's managing that operation) of overcharging or price gouging or taking advantage of people or WHATEVER, without having the slightest idea about how their product is similar to Long's, let alone the differences between them.

All you were given was a probable pricepoint and a picture. So don't come in here, pretending you know what the hell is going on, and start flailing your accusations at people. We'll all be better off.

well as i said before just wait until jlevi posts more info on thier product. i do agree that people are jumpin the gun and accusing/assuming all this stuff about jlevi. agreed that they are higher in price than the pmbs but so is brex. so everyeone should just chill until jlevi has a chance to post up more info. i myself am a pmb supporter and current member of the longtran fan club ( longtran) but dont assume anything about jlevi and thier product. who knows u might be impressed so much you would be willing to shell out the extra cash to buy his product.

A couple things:

-If you'd read my post, you'd understand that I was asking what the difference was b/w PMB's and everyone elses. A question, that Danny was able to answer. Thank you Danny!

-Don't think for a second that I don't like/want different vendors and suppliers offering up products and solutions for the E90. I've been waiting since I bought my car last summer for more to be available. But when people like Longtran think outside the box and offer up affordable, DIY'able, easy solutions; the question becomes, why wouldn't you at the very least, try it?

No drama, the prototype is completed.
Jon's simply away and hasn't been able to update everyone.

We scrapped the original design because we found that it overheated after 1 hour of usage and our goal is to have it working for no fewer than 10 hours straight before a mechanism kicks in to shut it off.

Furthermore, the design pictures are completed, the prototype is being finished in 2 weeks.

We will have these units read for pre-order in August conservatively with delivery slated for first weeks of September.

Initial starting pre-order price will be $99 for the first 50 buyers, $129 for the next 50, $149 for the next 50, and $169 for the final 50.

The final price of the unit will be $249. We're hoping to set this between the really expensive solutions.

In the meantime, we're starting to play with the PIAA units that are on our site, while they aren't exactly what we wanted, at dead of night, they look ok. But they will be 1/5th the actual brightness when we are done with our unit.
