Before, I would get aprox 29-31 mpg if I stayed at around 10 in/hg vacuum. Now, I get 25-26 when my boost guage says the same thing. We are talking about when the OBC displays the instantaneous mpg.

From the various comments/reviews of the JB3, it sounds like the power delivery would be great for the track nuts amongst us.
I like the sound of smooth power and throttle based boost. |

I have the JB3 on my stock AT 535i w/ Sprintbooster. All these lack of low end torque that everyone is complaining about is NON-EXISTENT if you have the Sprintbooster. The power delivery is very linear and smooth at partial or WOT. I highly recommend it for all Automatic Transmission cars!

Just install my JB3 last night. After 30 miles driving, as others said here, the low-end tq has not much noticeable difference compared to stock.(maybe need more milage for adaption). So I use my BMW performance steering wheel to test it : (the steering wheel is not calibrated, but it still shows the difference)
before : 0-100km/h : 5.65sec 0-1/4 mile : 13.78sec @166km/h after : 0-100km/h : 5.16sec 0-1/4 mile : 13.28 sec @174km/h I think I have to be more sensitive to feel the difference when driving. Last edited by morphia; 10-14-2008 at 05:35 AM.. |

^Morphia, which JB3 you got the 1.0 or the 1.1/v ? Cause they said the new chip that just came out improves the low-end trq..

I also have AA I/C, AA exhaust, VK OC and K&N drop in filter. I think the testing data from steering wheel tells everything. It do shorten the acceleration time especially in higher rpm range. (I use DS mode and then full throttle till the end of testing) before : 0-100km/h 5'65 sec 0-160km/h 12'92 sec after : 0-100km/h 5'16 sec 0-160km/h 11'38 sec the diff of 0-100km/h is 0.49 sec while 0-160km/h is 1.54 sec Last edited by morphia; 10-14-2008 at 01:01 PM.. |

After another 50 miles adoption with aggressive driving, I can feel the power become stronger and smoother now, low-end tq is better as well.
Nice product!! I think JB3 is the way to go especially for those who live abroad. CEL-free and longevity are the key for me to choose a tuner. |
