Medea is transiting the canal. She has already gone through Gatun Locks. If she doesn't stop in Gatun Lake, she should reach the Centennial Bridge web camera around noontime PST (maybe a little earlier), followed by the Mira Flores Locks about 30 minutes later.

Fedora is crossing the Atlantic and was last seen two days ago. I couldn't find it in sailwx, so I think you're in the dark for a few days until it shows up at a NA port.

medea is moving to the other locks (NOTE: HK not far behind)

sdslayer, thanks again for the pics. Cool to see it passing the canal. I assume the MEDEA is already out in the Pacific now?

sdslayer's aislive trial ran out so he does not have tracking info any longer. his ship and ours have been playing tag through the canal. The WW site shows Medea still hitting Port Hueneme this Sunday, as does the PH site (but that listing is old as of 9/25). With the Pacific tropical storm down by Mexico, let's hope we stay on schedule.

OK, so we are down to the WW & PH sites for updates from here on out (for the MEDEA)?

Nothing official, but I believe the good news is the WW site updated status of their Medea in the last few hours to indicate it both arrives and departs Port Hueneme today. When I checked very early this morning, it was to arrive today, but depart tomorrow per the original schedule. It has not yet turned "red" indicating it has left PH as it has previous ports of call, but that could well be our most timely indication cars have been offloaded when it occurs.

I would hope the owners of the ship would likely have the most accurate information -- and so far on this voyage their info has correlated exactly with other info, usually more timely (certainly more than BMWs), so I'm taking that as a good thing and signing off while my mental state is in good spirits. Tomorrow, I'll just start hoping the State gets this CARB thing completed sooner than later, but with our fiscal state, wouldn't be surprised if those people are understaffed and behind as well. They certainly are not working OT if the DOT and other State offices are any indication.

The WW lists the departure date in red now - does that mean it has unloaded and left?

Yes, so in theory our cars are offloaded and awaiting BMW to get them into the delivery center at which time the BMW systems should show a status change.

The infamous online Owners Circle today reports my E93 335i is at the preparation center, so it appears it's finally in SoCal after having been completed on 9/5.

Might want to check in with your CA for the piece of mind. At least for me, his system is showing my E93 is at the "final preparation center", and some interesting dates that at least looks like something happened since arrival:
  • Received at VPC (ATI) 10/13/08
    Work Order Printed 10/13/08
Work Order Completed (Process Confirmed) 10/14/08
My speculation would be that perhaps my E93 has gone through their cleaning/inspection process and am ready to be released once the CARB thing is complete. (At least I'll leave my head in that gear for today and feel good until tomorrow.)

Good luck! Hoping you get good news!

Thanks for the update - my E90 is now showing "At Preparation Center" on the BMWUSA website. I don't want to bother my CA until I hear of at least one person getting a x35i through.

One thing I'm a little nervous about is that I got the Smartphone Integration option, which supposedly didn't start production until this month. I wonder if they'll back-install it at the VPC, which might hold my car up.

I did order the VPC-installed alarm - also wonder if that will add a delay.
