Pro Stero in E91
Hi all,
Am new to the forum, this is my first post...... Just traded in a 2006 Range Rover Sport with HK7 for a November 05 E91 330d SE (UK Spec). It has the basic stereo, does anyone have any advice over quality etc? (picking the car up tonight) What are good speaker upgrades (does it need them), does it have a sub or is that limited to the HK7etc.... I wouldn't want to add subs to the system (unless a suitable location other than the load area works??) as the load space will be well used. Cheers |

there should be two 8-inch subs (facing down) under the front seats.
Regarding on the sound quality....Do not have high hope! |

In general (from my experience) the sound quality in a BMW Touring is of lesser quality compared to a sedan. Probably due to the different acoustics.
I have the hifi with subs in my E61 and sound quality is half of what the Harman Kardon in our Mini Cooper sounds like. In my 320d I didn't even bother upgrading the stereo to Hifi. If you want the real deal, you choose right with the logic 7! |

Thanks guys, much appreciated. The car is excellent however the sound quality from the stereo set up is at best average. Have done some searcing across the rest of the forum and have found the stereo specs. Am going to do a straight speaker upgrade and add an amp. Should be relatively straight forward with the pro stere.
(didn't have a choice with the stereo, bought the car used) Anyone know of any problems with doing this?? Cheers |
