Personalizing the i-drive screen?

I saw someone had their name in the bottom left hand corner of their -drive screen. how is that done?

hmmm.....You probably saw the name of the phone connected via bluetooth to the car.
In my case, when I'm in the ph menu, it displays my name since that is the name I had given my phone.

When I play my iPod the name of my iPod is in the bottom left corner.... which includes my name

those names displayed are of the phone and/or ipod depending on which mode you have the idrive in (entertainment or communication). both are named in the actual device (phone/ipod) which the idrive reads/displays in the lower left hand corner.
