Longevity of SSTT

Alright, I apologize in advance for another SSTT question. I have my eyes set on getting the SSTT soon. I like the SSTT because from what I hear, it is the safest tune out there. I'll probably get a JB3 as well for the track or racing friends and whatnot, but I'll keep the SSTT in for normal driving. My question is, will the SSTT hurt the longevity of my car? My car has about 14k miles on it right now, and I plan on keeping my car till it dies on me. I dont want to decrease the life of my car, will the SSTT affect that? Could I plug in the SSTT and have it work fine with my car for the next 150k miles?

Really gonna depend on a couple of things.

how much you beat on your car, how much u get on boost.

anything boosting over stock will put some more strain on the car which might result in some more wear. but no1 exactly how much wear it can produce that it will negativly effect the car.
could be a 2% more wear factor, could be a 10%. no one really knows.

I assume you're buying the two tunes used, otherwise it makes no sense. Come to think of it, it makes no sense even if you're buying both used. Either get a JB3 and have one of the maps detuned by the tuner, or get a V3.1 and detune one of the maps yourself.

AFAIK, SSTT has not had any adverse effects on the owners with 30k+ miles on it....but no long term results yet....

Jb3 detuned should be ok for you, doesn't it come w/ a map switch?

Just use the map switch, it has a lower boost map and a stock map already.

SSTT is a great tune no doubt. I've put 15k miles on it without a single problem! If you deciding between SSTT and JB3, I would suggest/go with JB3 PnP and a map switcher, that way you can take an advantage of JB3 low-boost map that feels similar or just a tad stronger then SSTT!

going all the way out to 150k, no one knows. There is a chance that many of turbo's will not last that long in stock form.
