IPOD interface

In Europe the ipod interface is available. Price: about 420 dollar so the US-prices will be the same i think ... or maybe less

$420 euros or USD? If euros --- count me out.

Even at $420 USD that's very high. I was expecting $250 or $199. I was going to have the kit installed immediately, but at $420 I think I'll wait until my cash flow is a bit higher.

It works perfect on the centerscreen of your dash in combination with the idrivebutton. The interfacescreen is exactly the same as you can see on your ipod, so it works perfect !! So that's what explains the high price.

NO idrive here

maybe they going to have two kits for idrive and non-idrive system

I hope so so I don't have to pay $420

Well if something is 420 euros that means that it is $535 US dollars.

It has been confirmed many, many times on this board that the new interface will be compatible with SAT radio. Even BMW's press release confirms this. BMW's website has not been updated yet to reflect the new interface.

Also, the prices listed here are suspect, and I'm not confident they are for the new interface which should be arriving at US dealerships by the end of the month.

Any questions you may have can be answered through JSpira's excellent post at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22106.
