JB3 install
Well, after carefully reading the instructions, it's not as "plug and play" as I thought and I lost all confidence that I will manage to install it myself. My biggest concern is that I won't be able to get back to stock, without leaving traces or messing up the wires. There's no way I will remember what came out of where and stuff like that.
I can only imagine the pinout version installation. Anyone here who has NEVER opened the ECU, never messed with advanced plugs and wires installed the JB3 PnP? Your thoughts? PS: I still haven't got it, but I should really soon, so I thought I check the manuals. PS2: To Terry and crew, with the JB3's selling like hot cakes, it would be great if you guys take 10 minutes to create a VIDEO guide as you did for the stage 1 & 2. I couldn't find a video of the JB3 installation. |

The PnP is even easier. Just follow the pinout video up to the point where it tells you disconnect the pins. The only difference is you unplug the connectors and plug in the JB3 connectors. If this still doesn't make you feel comfortable to do it, have someone else do it.

i never ever messed with ECU and i am pretty bad in electronics but i installed the JB3 without problems at all. The only thing to be careful about is when removing and reinstalling the ECU plugs.

?
http://www.rixeffects.com/store Click on "BMS SUPPORT" Just follow the pinout video, and then use the PNP install manual to know which subconnectors to replace. I'll have terry look into a PNP video. |

did you find the video and the PNP instructions. its the only True plug and play system out right now. its a great system! very easy to install. there sitn much ways to mix up the OEM wires when going to stock. the Grey and black go on the smaller ECU, and they only slide in one way. the large black and white go on the bigger ecu! very simple. you can confuse them.(i think the colors are right off the top of my head)
