bbs alignment

I searched and couldn't find the answer.
My local service dept. told me to keep my stock wheels for balancing.
They said they couldn't balance the wheels with my BBS LM's or that it would be very difficult.
Is there any truth to this?
I really want to sell my stock wheels and tires.
Please help.

I think alignment. I have been told by wrench monkeys at the local MBZ dealer that they can't align my car because I have aftermarket wheels on (Maya STMs). Went to my local Goodyear service station and they did it for me no problem.

sorry i meant allign.

so i can probably sell my stock wheels and go to a reputable non dealership service dept for allignment?

Yes, you can take it to an independent shop for alignment. I have mine aligned at a local BMW performance specialist.
