Which is the better deal on a e92 coupe?

1. ED
2. Invoice + ~$1k at my dealership

I know that ED is lower than MSRP, but not sure if my dealer will give me the pricing he gave me for option 2 if I tell him I want ED instead. Thoughts?

1. ED invoice is 34360 + 1250 (what people have been getting incl. me ) = 35610 + cost of the trip.

2. US Invoice is 37350 + ~1k = 38350

BTW this is for the 335 e92. but more importantly whos offering you 1000 over invoice already?!?

If I were him, I'd rather sell it to you via ED, because the car wouldn't come out of my allocation quota.

lol. a FL dealership is offering me that price. so, if we include airfare and travel expenses to Germany plus the "second wait" while waiting for the car to get to the U.S., we may only be talking about a grand or so difference on a fully-loaded 335i coupe which will be around 48-50k anyway... i think i may just stick with my dealership delivery.

If you only consider that as an expense without benefit, ED doesn't look like such a great deal indeed. Many people (including myself) see it differently.

Exactly. That's what I was talking to other members about. If the price difference is < $3000, get it at your dealer because $1000 ticket + hotel/food/other travel expenses + time off from work could cost you more than $3000. BTW, not all dealers will give $1000 over the ED invoice. California dealers will do that, but for those non-californians want to order the car delivered in your states from CA dealers, it will cost you more on re-delivery shipping because CA dealers won't let you pick up the cars in CA.

didn't know the guy but did have the benefit of having 4-5 BMW dealerships (owned by separate people) all within an hour of each other, so i did my shopping. 3 of the 5 wouldn't budge off MSRP. the other one who did only took $800 off MSRP, so i went with the last offer

not to rain on your parade, but just get that deal IN WRITING! if it sounds too good to be true... but if it is its one helluva deal. and make sure your talking about the e92 coupe

but even if you do end up breaking even with the travel costs.... having already done a ED, if you havent done it i HIGHLY recomend it true you lose time off of work, but hey use your vacation time. if you go in the off-seaon plane tix are cheap (esp. w/ BMW-Lufthansa's 2-for-1 deal) and hotels in Munich is pretty cheap as well. great food, great bier, friendly locals (not to meantion naturally beautiful women), and youre brand new BMW to drive on the autobahn like its meant to be, you just cant beat that! yeah you wait a month more but whats a month in the grand scale of things. (plus itll give your time to start stock piling your mods!) im still shocked BMW offers this for free, hell id pay a premium to do this.
