Help on Nav 09 edition
Hey all, i just got my new 335i and was wondering if i can bypass the whole park brake thing. Meaning, i can only watch DvDs when the park brake is still up. This is for long road trips and so my passengers can watch as well, not me. So ya

If you manage to bypass the parking brake lockout and can deal with the incessant iDrive warnings, there is also a speed-based lockout which would almost certainly require some system software modification to enable video while travelling. The orientation of the iDrive screen makes it somewhat impractical to use as passenger entertainment--it is oriented toward the driver and away from a frontseat passenger, and is likely too small and distant for backseat passengers to see easily.
