Any thoughts on how the 162s will fare as winter rims? Some wheels are bad at collecting slush buildup and freezing, causing balance and clearance problems.
My 162s on my E90 worked quite well as a winter wheel/tire combo. In fact they are still in my garage collecting dust I was waffling about using those on my E92, but after fitting, they just don't compliment the looks of the coupe.

I really like the flexibility and utility of having the 19's with PS2s for the summer. Dedicated snows on wheels for the winter, as well as the RFT's on the stock wheels around just in case I need to take a long trip and want the piece of mind.

I went with Pilot Alpin PA2s...

Thanks for the feedback.

I am now selling my winter setup as I traded the 330I in on a M3. Here is the link for the rims and tires for sale if anyone is interested. Thank you.

even with a 12mm spacer in the back it still looks really tucked in. I would have done a 15mm at least, maybe even 20mm. Nice looking winter set up though.

imho it's not necessary to spend much more than $1000 on a new tire/rim setup. After all, the purpose is to be able to drive in snow...I went with Ultragrip Perf's
