Short Shift Kits. Which One Do You Prefer?

Just wanna get a feel for who has had a SSK installed on their e9x. I've been eyeing a few just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'd appreciate any feedback from you guys. Thanks!

I am a fan of the Active Autowerke Short Shift Kit for the 335. Active is known for their level of quality and construction and the kit produces a nice short and smooth throw (30% reduction in shift movement). You also get an updated weighted shift knob that helps with engagement and quick movement.

If you want a nice cheap solution that will satisfy most of people's needs, get the short shift lever from the 330i.

Let me know if you would like the part number. Cost is a fraction of any other aftermarket solution. Its about 60 bucks.

I just had the AA one installed last week (they had special promo pricing... might still be going on). The throws are so much better its ridiculous. I no longer feel like I'm "rowing" while shifting. The overall feel is much better too. It just feels more lickity-split if you will lol. The knob is great and really feels like you're in a performance vehicle. The only thing that might be a turn off once it gets a little colder (or outrageously hot) here is the fact that the knob is gonna be freezing cold or ridiculously hot. Otherwise I'm really satisfied with it. Install was $250 at my local shop. Hope this helps

i have the bmw oem ssk for the 335 specifically... alot better feel than stock... dont expect any of the ssks to be like one for a honda or 350z.... it reduces throw alot but its not the shortest thing in the world... def an upgrade though... car should have came this way stock

I have the Rogue shifter. It's perfect for what I'm looking for. The gates are definitely better than the stock shifter. I know exactly what gear I'm in and where the next gear is without thinking about it (going up or down). This was important to me on the track.
Everyday driving is great too. No rattle because it's two pieces. I'm very happy with it.

Since you're local, why not purchase from us? That way if anything happens we are just a drive away.

Hey pnguyen don't buy anything but UUC, they make the best SSK in the market hands down. Highest quality with the best results in better shifting.

Not exactly an SSK, but I installed the OEM M-sport knob and the difference is huge. Throws are much shorter and the knob actually feels good in your hands.
