painted calipers

Wow, I was a bit surprised how excited people got over painted brakes. Guess I'm in minority, but I tried the red G2 Brake Paint system in a white '95 M3 with 5-spoke OZs. It really looked nice. Subtle. G2 has a nice variety of colors. When it first goes on, it looks terrible, but it dries to a great finish. It's durable, easy to touch up, and had no noticeable effect on cooling. I'm just not sure how much paintable surface area there is on the 335's calipers. I say paint 'em (or powder coat - mo $$ tho), you'll like it and you'll be glad you did. Just one guy's opinion.

I would go with black. The ZCP E46 M3 had it like that and it looked amazing.

+1, some do it even when they don't have calipers; they paint their drums red. It's like they're trying to show the world that their car is so lame that has drums

I agree, I'm thinking of painting mine black when I swap my wheels shortly. It's not to make them stand out, it's just that they look pretty crappy stock. Black painted calipers would be a tasteful way to improve the looks of the stock brake setup. A lot of OEM brake calipers are black or silver anyways.

Don't go sticking a Brembo sticker on there though

To the OP, if its within your means, Rotora makes a caliper kit that, if I recall correctly, costs less than 2k for front AND rear. They're red. So you'd be able to have your attractive calipers without paying out the ass for a real BBK.
