Install Tips on E92 OEM Style Aero Lip

Been searching around for a DIY for the E92 Aero Lip install to no avail. I got a replica of the OEM lip that is CF and body color on the center part. Like this:

Anyway, planning on test fitting mine, and if it fits well to paint it and install it.

So, aside from Double sided tape, would it be necessary to bore some holes and screw it on? And I read somewhere to put windex on where the Double Sided tape attaches to, to be able to move it around...but wouldn't that make the tape less effective?

FYI regarding the carbon fiber lip. They are usually FRP lips with a CF overlay (fiberglass base). So in order for 3M tape to stick to it, you need to use an adhesive promotor or some type of glue to make the 3M tape stick to the fiberglass. The 3M tape holds just fine to the painted bumper. But if you don't apply it correctly to the fiberglass, the lip will just pop right off the car.

IMO, Windex isn't needed as it's very easy to align the center of the lip and then get the sides aligned and on there. However, if you've never done any type of body panel install on a vehicle before, then using the Windex will give you the extra slack needed to position everything into place. I just installed another lip again this weekend (4th aero lip install) and it took a matter of seconds to get it aligned and on the bumper with no Windex. It helps with 2 people but you can easily get it done by yourself.

The same thing still applies, except you need to rough up the surface first (sand it down) before applying the 3M tape to the urethane lip.
