I got koni FSD/Eibach a day ago...and heres what I think:

This car is my daily driver, so I was looking for a moderate drop, without losing ride quality and to pick up some handling. What I got...the car feels SO smooth on regular roads now. All the little imperfections no longer feel jarring. When you finally lay into a turn, it just bites in and goes as you like (vs ZSP). I'm VERY happy with the FSD/eibach combo, I got exactly what I wanted for a car I'm going to be driving every single day. Significantly better ride quality, and a fair amount sportier handling with a sexy but non-slammed drop

I'd highly recommend this combo, as Ive heard the hr sport and koni yellow is a bit more harsh in comparison, and I couldnt really imagine more harsh than zsp for a daily driver...so this makes me immensely happy. From what ive read, FSD's are amazing shocks, and so far, theyre proving to be that way

Cheers
You hit it right on the head. this is the setup I have and it's great. The drop for me was about 1/2 in the rear and an inch in the front. Looks great and rides like a dream!!!!!!

I gotta agree best option out there, a spring shock combo is nice for mediocre setup - but with these coilovers like about $100 more, you get a full coilover. Meaning a real shock and springs that are matched up, height adjust ability, Lifetime warranty (its a KW in green ST clothing every part is same, except its galvanized steel). Having a proper complete arm movement is the right way to drop, not compromising your street driving and giving you a sporty drive not 'jarring'.

Let us know if we can help, there are lots of options out there, but I personally side towards a coilover because your going to spend the same amount on install, its only a little more for a product thats going to give you everything with adjustability and avoid more problems down the line.

I've talked to people with kwv2's and aparently the ride can be really nice.. From pictures that I've seen the prokit doesn't look like it will be low enough. I want a drop about or slightly lower than h and r sport.

I also have the Koni FSD shocks and opted for the Eibach sport suspension springs. I wanted a mild drop, improved handling and comfort. This setup delivered

The Eibach is roughly as low as the HR...its a .1/.2 inch difference in the front between the two (measure that out for yourself...)

when you say sport do you mean the prokit or sportline? if this is what the prokit looks like then i think its perfect....most pics ive seen are of the sedan with a prokit and it doesnt look very low compared to the stock sport suspension.

so tough... i can get a set of sightly used kw v2's for 1150 shipped or this for about 900.... i dunno....i just dont know how they ride compared to each other or to sport stock suspension. I mean if coilovers ride about the same as the stock sportthen thats how ill go.

IMO, this combo rides more comfortable than stock, much less jarring. But much sportier in the twisties...consider installation/adjustment and tuning costs with the kwv2...I was quoted double the installation for coils vs springs/shocks because of all the height and other adjustments needed to make it ride as you like

My mechanic charged me right around $350 for installation of shocks, springs and an alignment.

For a daily driver, which route should i go? the coilovers are only 100-150$ bucks more than a spring/shock set. Which one out of the two, coilovers and springs/shocks has a better ride quality?
Go with the ST coilovers. I have those on my car and they're great. Height adjustable, feels only slightly stiffer than OEM Sport Suspension, and it's made by KW, so you know that quality is top-notch. If you're choosing between ST coilovers and a spring/shock combo, the coilovers are your choice without a doubt.

kinda bringing this back up from the dead i guess
but wouldn't the eibach pro kit work well with the koni fsd as in spring rate and what not
based on the koni site that features this combo

how do the koni fsd and eibach system sit when there are passengers and luggage onboard?
