Intake / Exhaust Question
It's time for a little extra power on my E90 335i! I'm definitely going with a JB3, but I'm still undecided about which intake and exhaust to get. For exhausts, I'm leaning towards the RennArt, but I like the Harman Motive as well...and the UUC exhaust looks interesting for $999. For intakes, I'm thinking of just going with a BMS dual cone intake, until the definitive intake comes out (like maybe the AMS!). The Riss Racing and Ultimate Racing intakes just don't seem worth $450+ when a BMS is $139. Is the BMS intake enough for the JB3?
I'm open to suggestions. Thanks! Brian |

Yea i think the BMS intakes are worth the money, especially if you want to upgrade later. Exhaust will be dependent on your taste of sound. (Youtube)

I would go with the aFe Dual Cone Intake for your 335, we have this installed on our E92 335 and I am planning on doing it for my 135. I am very impressed with the level of quality and ease of installation, not to mention it produces a nice improvement in power and air flow without being too intrusive as far as install goes.
For the exhaust, I would also recommend the Active Autowerke 335 Exhaust which we have on our E92. I find this to be a perfect upgrade over stock in that it's noticeably deeper but is not overly obnoxious so as to be unfit for everyday use. |

Go with a BMS dual cone intake .. 400+ dollars for the other intakes are ridiculous and show no power increase over the 100 dollar dual cone. They look nice though.
Exhaust, pick one you like. There is a sticky on top of this forum with videos for most/all of the exhausts made for this car. The gains are pretty minimal with an exhaust so it's pretty much subjective to you. |

I think it is pretty clear that I am a vendor from my sig as well as the "supporting vendor" tag near my username
And downpipes will definitively improve his exhaust, regardless of which brand he goes with. So either way, my statement stands

Just wondering, with the 335i engine.. after upgrading the exhaust and intake, I'm guessing you would surely need to upgrade the fuel computer to keep up right? Does the ECU piggy back do this?

the JB3 does for sure. and btw, AR is right, DPs - especially catless - will help power alot more than exhaust. ...now the next question would be which DPs??
