My car, like many others, is squeaking and squealing like a mofo. I can't take it anymore honestly. Not only can I not stand the noise, but I can't stand my dealer's refusal to recognize the problem and correct it.

I have tried everything from video taping (search the forum), to speaking with the GM, even complaining to BMW NA. No luck at all.

So I've decided to say "f*ck it" and buy my own rotors and pads. The questions is, which ones do I buy?

I really don't want to go OEM because of all the crap that I've been through with them, but also don't want some cheap aftermarket. So for those of you who have been down this path, which combination should I get?

Hawk street pads are good...

My all time favorites are is Ferrodo DS2500, but they produce some massive and sturdy dust.

My car is 18 months old with 12,000 miles I have had the car back 3x for the brakes, last time they replaced my pads and rotors, and...................they still squeak...

Dude I have been back and forth 8 times total. Had the rotors and pads replaced 4 times, my car sounds like a city bus.

Go to ANOTHER BMW dealer and have them fix your brakes at no charge (under the warranty).

it's not the brake pads or the rotors that is causing the squeaking noise; its the brake pad sensor in the rear that is scraping the rotors at low speeds.

I agree, I had the same squealing noise. I asked the shop foreman @ Bayside BMW to take a ride with me. He confirmed it was the sensor and had it replaced. Ask them to replace the sensors. Maybe that will fix the problem.

I ordered new brake pads, sensor's, anti-rattle clips, EVERYTHING from Tischer. No luck. Noise returned 3 weeks later. Only difference now is that it doesn't only squeak when I accelerate from 0 to 20MPH but when I stop as well.

Guys this is not a thread about my complaining of squeaking brakes; There were 3 other threads about that. This thread asks for your opinion on which aftermarket rotors and pads to get. I've looked on several sites and they don't sell individual rotors for the 335, just Big Brake Kits.

for street use, I would go with Pagid, with some nice slotted rotors, like brembos or something else. Use to have that setup on my supercharged E36 M3. Car would stop on a dime.
