Exhaust setup question ...HELP!
After I heard this clip from Crazy Bimmer of his Bastuck quads with secondary deletes,
i might get this over the Arqray Quads... 1. Is this how the flow of the exhaust system will be connected?? STOCK DP connects with flange----> Borla Secondary Cat delete Pipes WELD to --> custom 2.5" mid pipe or STOCK MID PIPE -->SLIP JOINT CLAMPED to Bastuck quads muffler ?? Crazy Bimmer's sound clips of Bastuck + 2nd Cat Delete...

If you intend on keeping the stock exhaust and just changing out the secondary cat pipes, there is no choice but to cut at weld. The downpipe side is flanged, but unfortunately after that, its a solid setup all the way to the stock mufflers. Pretty stupid of BMW if you ask me.
What you CAN do in case you even want to make the system reversable, is have new secondary straight pipes made, have flanges welded on both ends and add a flange to the muffler pipe ends on the stock setup. After that, add flanges to the stock catted pipes and this way you can remove the center pipe's by just using bolts. This is how it should have come from the factory. If the secondary cats fail, the stock muffler seems to need replacing too since its all one piece. Just doesn't make sense. I hope that helps you a bit.

so i can just get the BORLA SECONDARY CAT DELETE RACING PIPES & BOLT directly up to the BASTUCK Mufflers (sec3)??
this way i will completely unbolt the STOCK OEM 2nd cat + mid pipes + muffler and just use my new setup??

No you can't...borla sec. cat delete pipe is section 1. It works better for Borla muffler system b/c it also comes with section 2(x-pipe) which the Bastuck doesn't have.
you can have a custom section 2 made by an exhaust shop if you want... |

I think the Borla section 1 primary/cat delete pipe only works with the Borla catback, I ended up having to cut and weld them to my Magnaflow cat-back section 2/3.

After the DPs, the exhaust divided into section 1 = contain 2nd cats section 2 = mid pipes section 3 = mufflers

Does the Borla 2nd section attach to the Bastuck section three. I have seen pictures where the Bastuck has an extension from the flange and then I have seen pictures where the Bastuck ends very shortly with the flange.

Have you checked out our quad system? There is a link in my signature with info and videos, and its a complete system that bolts up to the downpipes. No need to fuss with mixing and matching other exhaust parts to make a complete system.
