Shuffle, iPod and iDrive?

Hi Guys, picked up my car today and got my iPod all connected, great!

Just a quick question, can you make the iDrive shuffle through all the songs on your iPod? Not been able to myself?

Thanks

another question. For the iPod adapter that comes as the option. When the car is off, does it shut off the iPod? I can't tell because when I get in and look at my iPod in the center armrest, it is on, but I think that's because I just unlocked the doors to get in.

Yes i believe you are correct.
I'm pretty sure it turns off but when you unlock the car it powers on.

I have a 16GB iPhone, but I prefer to store songs on a 16GB memory stick rather than use the iPhone. Much less hassle and the phone just stays n my pocket with my keys. All this RF and Bluetooth is magic . ...not need to plug the iPhone in, except for battery charging.
