Actual Brand of Oil the Dealers use?
I know our E90 BMW's include oil changes but just would like to know the Brand of oil used? Castrol? Mobil1? I've asked the dealer and all he could tell me was it has the BMW emblem on the container! Thanks!!

The new Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 is LL-04 approved But ony the new diesels need LL-04, the N52 can use LL-01 approved oils |

That's a different topic altogether.
Do a search. The consensus is to wait till at least 5000 miles before the first change, possibly because BMW uses a special oil initially for break-in purposes. Can anyont confirm that? |

I am almost a hundred percent certain that BMW does use a special break in oil, and with that being said it probably is a good idea to wait...
