diesel tuning box or remap reviews

HI I JUST GOT A DIESEL TUNING BOX FOR MY 320D 163 BHP IT HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE FIRST DAY I KEPT UP WITH A X5 THEN BEAT HIM FROM LIGHTS THE THING IS I DID NOT WANT TO TAMPER WITH THE ECU (EXPENSIVE LITTLE UNIT) AND FOR WARANTY AND SERVICE ISSUES IM HAPPY WITH THE BOX BECAUSE YOU CAN TAKE IT OFF AND NO TRACE OF IT BEING THERE ETC... UN LIKE A REMAP NOW I WOULD BE INTERESTED TO HEAR FROM ALL PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD ANY OF THE ABOVE DONE TO THERE CARS BECAUSE YOU HEAR SOME 1 HAS BLOWN THE HEAD GASKET HAS ANY CAUSED DAMAGE TO THERE CARS lets hear the pros and cons of it all and which 1 is good the box or the remap

i wrote into bmw car about this,as im of the same opinion.

i know a remap is better, but the tuning box's offer you the benefit of removal as and when you want, and they do give similar results, i was hoping bmw car would run a comparison of a box v remap.

I want one for my 325d but I'm not sure about warranty issues etc....

I like the fact you can take it off quickly unlike a remap, has anyone got any experience with a spider box on a E90 325d?

I have done 14k miles now with it. I changed the pins to give it more power - cannot remember what I have set it to but I need to get the car serviced soon so will have to take off - am looking forward to seeing the difference first hand

I left mine on when it went in for a service ages ago and the techy asked me if it was what he thought it was...i said YEAH...he said lemme have a go...i said does it cause you a problem then...NO...just wanted to see what it goes like...so i let him loose...he said ..QUOTE....should be what it came from the factory with ..much more guts.

Warranty problems...NONE...he said..they get paid to do the work by BMW so why grass...makes more sense now the crunch is on i guess...mind you i havent droven mine for 2 months + lol.
