steering/suspension feels like something is loose? KWv2 post west end alignment
Just had my car dialed in at West End Alignment after having my KWV2's installed, and now I am noticing something through the steering wheel. It feels like every little bump and crack in the road is multiplied significantly, to the point that It almost seems like something is not tightened all the way, and it is clanking around. Also if I grab the steering wheel and turn back and forth really fast while at a complete stop, I can feel a small clank type of feeling, like my steering wheel is loose. I took off my wheel and re-tightened it as tight as I could get it, but the problem is still there. Any thoughts?

1) something could be loose (tie rod, camber bolt, etc)
2) Too much Toe-out. Toe out makes the car feel extremely darty, but is preferred in autocross type setups.

I'd call Darrin and tell him about the noise and what you are feeling. Do you remember what specs you asked for, or if he said he was adding some toe-out in the front?
Either way, Darrin has always made sure I was 100% happy with the way my cars drove before I left his shop. Call him up and see if he can check things out for you. |
