Wheel Balancing
Hey guys,
Was driving from my parents place in PA and noticed vibrating in the steering wheel. I think I need to get the wheels balanced, where would you recommend to go, in the NYC area? I live in Brooklyn. Thanks a million!! |

Anyway its all done with. Went to Major tire on McDonald Avenue Between W & X. Ask for Floyd. He did a great job. My rims look more like squares after NYC potholes, but I digress. He did a really good job. |

not really. At my shop, it was hard as balls to make hours. We never got the work that was at your skill level.
My first day on the job they gave me a no-start in a new 528i. I had no idea how the fuck to even use the GT1. I spend 2 days figuring it out, and it paid me .5, even with the good story and all. I should have been gettin easy stuff since I wasnt even a C-tech yet. Group 1 who runs the dealer I used to work for, and because they are hurting so bad, they axed all sick time, you get 4 days vacation, and only 3 holidays. So much for non-union shops. The place I work for now, I get MUCH better pay, and I get a bonus (which was supposed to happen at the dealer, but they decided not to give it to us, and put it into a company party instead, in some kind of effort to get us to come out)...last years was just over $2k. At least at my shop, all my customers still spend in bad times. Thanks to them, even with this economy in the shitter, I still have enough engine rebuilds to hold me over until March. I work on Porsches btw. |

haha thats the toughest part. All the dealers around here suck. My friend went to work for Rallye, and hes gettin paid already, but they stuck him on the Alighment machine cuse he rips through cars in like 30 minutes, and he makes like 70 hours a week. Not bad for only having to work 4 days. Fridays are mandatory off, and if you want to work Saturday you can.

So much for taking it to reliable old bmw. Truth is any place can botch a job up. You just need a reliable place that doesn't do it as much.
