quick question: Ipod + e92 - please help!
Hi there.
I have a e92 2008 coupe with the USB and AUX input in the armrest. Am I correct in assuming that if I wanted to have full ipod functionality [playlists etc.], I need to buy a Y cable from BMW? Currently, I am using the standard ipod USB cable similar to this: http://technical-itch.co.uk/wp-conte...-usb-cable.jpg I would have thought a 2008 model comes with this as standard?? I am able to connect my ipod but can't make out whats going on in that music titles are 4-5 characters and I have no playlists! Help would be appreciated |

Yes, the 'y' cable is required to ensure all functionality of the ipod is integrated in to the iDrive or standard radio. Eg. song, artist, playlists, play, pause skip from your car controls. Without the 'y' cable you get no integration.
