Bubbles - you may very well be right on the detuning issue. No idea. More people need to replicate or invalidate my observations.

That said, you are right. No amount of heat soak prevention is worth living in a corn field!

I wonder if the guy in stock 335i is a better driver.
He might carry more speed out of the turn into straight-away compare to Dinan guy

For example, I can be in modded M5 and Michael Schumacher going to spank my ass on stock 335i for sure on the track.

I wasn't there so leftcoast has better insight.

Nah, as I said, we were all stuck behind the 318i through the turn, so we started the straight at the exact same speed.

But you are right, a better driver on track in a crappier car will very likely destroy a lesser driver in a faster car.

Stop picking on the "corn field" people!

it's great here...our unemployment rate is around 3.5%, the housing market is still moving and our governor isn't trying to bribe anyone. Oh wait, that's in a corn field state too. Crap.

Can't we all just get along? After all, we have cool cars in common.
