M3 Coupe vs. M3 Sedan vs. M3 Vert
Interesting Race. Coupe and Vert has the DCT gearbox while the Sedan has Manual.

Not too surprised. I've seen many tests where the E90's performance specs were nearly identical if not better than the E92.

I don't think it's really about E90 vs. E92. Mainly they are testing the Transmission here.

Gear Ratios
Consider the gear ratios, and the Sedan could have had a slight advantage with higher revs at 30 mph. After the quick jump they seemed to be pretty even.
I'd love to see that race from a standstill. Cheers, CSL

Exactly why you don't buy a convertible performance car right there. Take em through some backroad twisties and it would be left even further behind.

I don't know where you get the notion that because it's a convertible it doesn't handle like an M. Yes the center of gravity etc etc but it really doesn't make that much of a difference. |

the verts on e90's are about 400lbs heavier...which is why I bought the z4m roadster...designed from conception as a vert, which keeps it lighter than the coupe variant and also faster (in a straight line).
if you're rocking the vert m3 you just ahve too much money
