EBay 162 Wheels -- What do you think?

Hi,
I'm new here. So this question may have already been asked before.
What do you think about the replica 162 (17") wheels on EBay (for $500)? I was looking for the same style (162) but 17" so that I don't have to upgrade tires. Do you think they are good quality? Do they look the same as the originals? Are they actually worth buying? Anyone got them?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-BM...mZ300011647624

Thanks,

DR

While Im not doubting those are 17's, they look MUCH smaller than the OEM 18's...

Might be something to think about for a set of winter tires though.

Kinda cool actually. I didn't know they had these. Here's what I think,

100% of people on this forum would notice
95% of other BMW owners wouldn't notice either.
90% of E90 owners who aren't on this forum wouldn't notice.

Do what you like.

The bmw drivers I see on the road, don't even see other BMW drivers, well a few have, but most are older or dont pay attention to anything. They just see the road and don't look at anything, like robots, which I have thought is very odd.

These wheels have been talked about in a few threads that I saw, but no owners one has said anything good or bad about them. I want to know if the wheels will withstand the Philadelphia potholes. I'm buying winter wheels this fall and so far these wheels are the best option I've seen. My car will loook virtually the same all year around!

A few years ago, I bought AT Italia wheels for my A4, and all four have bent over time and the car vibrates above 70mph now. I had to repair or replace three of the four.
