I have used a little gasoline on a rag in the past but not maybe the best method. I would think that 3M adhesive remover would be a better bet.

I got mine off with a clay bar and lubricant. I usually have some chunks of semi-used clay left over from detailing. As others mentioned, Goo-B-gone is great as well.
