Tire insurance question - please help
Hey guys,
I have the tire and wheel insurance that I purchased when I got my car, and now that I'm planning on upgrading my wheels (style 162) I am wondering if the insurance will still cover my upgraded OEM wheels and tires. If anyone was in this same situation I would love some feedback. I am hoping that the insurance will still cover the upgraded tires and wheels as they are OEM BMWs. Thanks in advance. |

While I don't recommend tire protection, I got it. Caved in and signed away $390....
Anyway, my understanding is that anything similar to what came with the car is covered. So I assume my snows/wheels are covered, provided I can substantiate the cost and that it's in line with OEM. I feel that if you go from RE050A's to Pilot Sport PS2 ZP's, that should be totally covered. I think I will replace my tires with the $350'ish RFT's first time around due to the protection package. After warranty, I may consider something far less $$$.....my .02 |

it all depends on the fine print of the contract you signed. Some cover whatever wheels/tires are on the vehicle, others only cover the oem set of wheels/tires

mine covers whatever wheels are on the car with potholes and any road hazard. i.e. if my iforged were curbed or damaged they'd be covered.
