BMW Leather

What do you guys use to clean and maintain BMW leather. Seems like the BMW leather is a lot harder than other types of leather.

I'm a fan of Zaino Z9 and Z10 (cleaner and conditioner). Works well for me.

Some popular choices I've read good things about but haven't tried myself -

- Leatherique - appears to be the best choice for seats in need of serious rejuvenation
- 6 to 1 Woolite for a gentle cleaning (follow with a conditioner)
- Connolly Leather Care Cleaner and Connolly Hide Care Conditioner
- Einszett (1Z) Lederpflege

What about Lexol? Has anyone heard anything bad about this leather conditioner? Does it even come close to Zaino?

Can anyone confirm if Zymol Z507 cleaner and Z509 conditioner maintain the matte OEM leather finish?

I have both products and home, and have been hesitant to use them on my Saddle Brown leather for the risk of loosing the matte finish...

Any feedback will be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I use the BMW branded leather conditioner. Seems to work well, and has a nice leather smell to it.

I also have some Zaino waiting in the wings, but this huge BMW bottle is never going to run out.

I have used Lexol for the past few years. Both the cleaner and conditioner with a Swissvax brush when needed. Always a reliable product, though I have never tried the Zaino leather products, so cant compare.

BMW leather care FTW. Seats have no gloss or shine whatsoever. The leather absorbs the conditioner and is left with a darker, richer, clean look. All with no oily residue at all.

The cleaner definitely will have no impact on the finish.

As for the conditioner, I used it for six years on my last car (an Acura). I generally worked pretty well and had no impact whatsoever on the finish. It certainly didn't make the leather shine. I did feel like the seat was a bit greasy the next day though, although that generally went away within a few hours.
