but i am always pumped tot alk about my dinan tune!!! it is a phenominal product that does so much more than add power!!! the car is an even larger joy to drive cause it is less jerky with quicker throttle response and it takes longer for the car to heat up i am assuming b/c of the increase in flow from the water pump!!! really i love this tune and haven't had one issue...nor have i had one issue with a my other 2 dinan tunes on my e34 540i...never...i trust dinan and i was hoping they would come out with a product with a lot more power...i think it's safe to say they achieved that by adding 121 ftlb/tq to the car but also smoothed everything out no matter what driving mode i am in since i have the auto!!! the car is a beast now!!! with tons of power i can't use b/c of no lsd!!! it's funny how people want more power and buy the procede but don't buy an lsd...they aren't going to go any faster90% of the time...hell i break traction at 85mph... i know i will still have some wheel spin but at least it is both wheels and not one pushing me to one side!!! i can't wait for the warmer weather and to get my ps2's on with the lighter wheels from morr!!! combined i should have a huge improvement in power getting down!!! i know you have to modulate the gas on the track but if i wanna just punch it i get the traction light going crazy through 2nd gear...then going 85mph i got it!!! i just can't wait for a couple months to go by when i will have time to install an lsd after i move for work and the weather improves...i can't wait to feel the power then!!!! |

big difference between the 2? is it comparable in relation from a stock car to the TT, or would that be too extreme as there is a pretty big difference between a stock car and a TT just trying to get an idea as i have a tt now |

Not gonna lie.. Your winter tires and cold temps are contributing to the majority of your high speed wheel spin. You will not be having the same experiences when it is 60-80 degrees with sticky summer tires like PS2's.

I often would have my traction light blinking on my old stage 1 Audi S4 (2.7T) through a majority of third gear pulling onto highways w/ Blizzaks ... never with PS2s. |

Well guys, I set up my appointment and I am ready to go for next week. The only bummer is that I have a 2008 so they have to ship the ECU which means that I am without a car for 3 days. Hope is worth it!

No worries, you'll enjoy it. I'll be curious in the '08 gives different performance.

I think he meant what he said and probably doesn't need your assistance in explaining his thoughts.

Wow good thread for dinan... ok i have the dinan stage 3 with the inter cooler, oil cooler and i love it...the dinan free flow mufflers weren't loud enough for me so i put on the borla full catless exhaust which sounds very good. But with the stage 3 my waste gates rattle so loud it drives me crazy... so i took the car to bmw today without taking out any of my other mods and the sent the dmi (ecu) to dinan for the new reflash that they have out i am on the east coast and its gonna take about 2 to 3 weeks to get my car back.. I mentioned about not taking out any of my other mods well the head mechanic took pictures of under my hood and sent them to bmw now my warranty. I have afe oiled cold air intake and riss racing diverter valves. FYI diverter valves void warranty. Oh well i have catted down pipes on order from riss so hopefully my car will be a monster. Will c i will have the car dyno'd after the down pipes go in if there is anyone in the area with other tunes i would def like to check out your car... by the way i have the sedan pm me if you wana get together
By the way i have a set of borla 2nd cat delete pipes for sale email me for pics justinmyers17@GMAIL.COM and i have dinan mufflers for sale as well |

*cough cough i have a stg 3 dinan flash with , dinan oil cooler, inter-cooler, exhaust and i believe i was the first stg 3 dinan sedan in the U.S. I posted my car early on when the stg 3 first came out. My car was the car that had R &D DONE BY dinan so the inter-cooler pipes would fit for the auto sedan or even auto coupes |

Just wondering why spend all that money on dinan tune, intercooler, oilcooler and then do mods that void the warranty?

He would probably be making considerably more HP if it were 31F at the dyno!
