Quick question on boost gauge???
Ok just installed my Prosport Boost Gauge....Everything while installing it went fine. I could not get the main vacuum line of the Y connecter so i just cut the main line a few inches from the Y connecter and installed the T that came with the gauge. The vacuum lines only fit about 1/4 inch on the T connector and I did zip tie as best as I could. I also have a SSTT installed.
Powered it up and saw about -19 mmHG vacuum but after pushing it only saw a peak of 6.5 PSI. I understand the DME will limit boost until the engine is warmed up and I did just test it right after the car started. With an SSTT shouldn't I at least be seeing a little higher even though the car is still cold? Temp was about 39F. There was no power difference in my butt dyno so I'm hoping its not a boost leak. I pushed it to 6K in 3rd and still only got the peak to 6.5PSI. I def noticed a difference from stock after I installed the SSTT but the boost gauge is making me think different or maybe I am just paranoid. Its 2AM and I am tired so I wont be taking a look until tomorrow morning. What are everyones thoughts?
