2005 - 2006 BMW 3 Series 320D SE Professional MP3?

Hi guys, neewbie here and a bit confused.

Im in the process of buying a 3 series 320D SE 55 UK Plate car and got a couple of questions so any help would be great.

1. Does the BMW Professional Radio/CD player play MP3's. Found conflicting posts saying it does and also saying ir does not. some difinitve answer would be great

2. What door speakers does everyone recomend to replace the pretty shoddy standard door speakers and lame sub woofers under the seats? any places recomended to buy from?

I have the same model 05 plate. The CD player does play MP3s, i burn them to a standard CD and it works fine. I was very dissapointed with the standard BMW sound system and bought the Alpine upgrade from BMW for £220 which consists of a Amp Mid-range Speakers and Tweeters and installed myself because BMW were charging £350 fitting.

These small changes made such a big difference and many people on here have done the same thing, search posts for DIYs

Well worth it.
