Exclamation nail in tire sidewall HELP !!!!

hello I notice today that I have a nail on my rear tire

Can this be plugged or patched??? technically its plugged right now by the nail. Should I take it to be patched (will that make it worse) or just leave the nail in. Its in the side wall.
I have not loose presure or anything.

what should I do :confused

If it is in the sidewall then you should get it replaced. On the tread you could patch or plug. Haven't checked in a while but good luck finding a tire unless the backorder issue has been solved. Do you have tire insurance?

I don't know if you can still buy it but might be something worth looking into for the future. The RFT's seem to pick up nails more than regular cars or it just seems that way. I would get hot on finding a tire since you can only drive so long on the tire you do have. Check the pressure daily until you can get it replaced. Good luck!

$295 at Tirerack and they are on backorder. I would call and see if they can get one from another warehouse.

Bridgestone(Firestone) is holding some inventory to support "disabled" cars during the backorder. My Firestone dealer was able to get two rear tires for me last week.
