e92 Sept. Production Question???

OK ive been waiting for almost a year for e92 coupe and ive been planning on going in and ordering one soon... but i want to get Navi... so my questions is if i get September production of the coupe when will the car arrive in the states... any estimates will be appreciated... thanks

Really depends WHEN in Sept. but figure 4 weeks later on the east coast.

A safe bet is: 6-8 weeks after the production date. Typically BMW gives production dates based on the week in the year, so if your production date is in the first week of September you could see your car in mid October or early November.....if your dealer made your order "Priority 1". If your production date is late September, then your car would be a late November to early December delivery.

maybe they mixed up your allocation but i called the BMWNA tracking line and spoke with a guy who confirmed a sept1st build date for me and said to expect it begin/mid october, which is exactly what my dealer told me

You're both right. Production starts in September for 335i's with iDrive, but only a week's batch will be built immediately - most will be on the next three weeks' runs.....so December will be a very likely time on a few of the first orders in the States.

Figure that if the first ones go into production during the first week of September, then you have a 6-8 week wait you're more than likely going to see the first iDrive 335i's in late October - early November. Figure that a decent sized dealer is only going to get an allocation of 3-6 335i's (could increase) per month and most people who have their iDrive-d 335i's ordered now will probably see theirs in late November - December.......like me, and I am a BMW Dealer.

If my logic is wrong, then our customers are going to be very happy to have their cars show up earlier than we're telling them

Hopefully there will be so many iDrive 335i orders that BMW will make them a priority!

is the M-sport aero kit gonna be available for the US? (as seen in the euro catalog) i know it'll be available some time, but how about sept. orders?

I spoke to my dealer. I have had a 328i coupe on order with nav. since june and I called him yesterday asking about this so called delay. He said that there was no delay on my car and that production is for my car is actually being moved earlier! The dealer is very trusthworthy and we have purchased a previous car with him. Does this mean that there is only a delay on the 335i with nav and not the 328i?

Everything I have seen from BMW states that iDrive in the E92's and the Red exterior color is on hold for a September production. Maybe your dealer knows something we don't, and if that is true then we could be pleasantly surprised

Personally I'd love to see my car come in sooner too!

Can I get your dealers number and ask them about this? PM. Either your dealer is wrong or there is a loophole.
