Looking at standard peformance curves that implies you put at least some 100kW into it, then followed by shifts under full load. Your oil temp must shoot up in seconds..

Carlos - if you have a manual don't be amazed if dxb335d just pulls away from you. When he releases his brake his large turbo is already at nearly full speed, his smaller turbo has already been bypassed.. And your turbo (and mine) is basically at standstill before releasing the clutch - have fun though,

Oil temp in the box will not go up in a short standing start 1/4mile race. Mabe ever so slightly. Now on track it will go up considerably. Which i do also.

I do not have any oil temp gauges in the car. My advice would be not to worry at the drag strip. Although launches cars is not always that nice for it, its not going to over heat the gearbox. Driveshafts are more likey to get damaged.


On track, do shorter sprints and a cool down lap before coming into the garage.
