Message Feature on new idrive

Hey, does anyone know what the message feature do on the new i drive in 09 335xi.... Texts don't seem to show up there but maybe voice mails.. let me know what you guys know about it..

You can send Google map destinations to your car from your PC. When you registered at BMW they should have given your email address to BMW. If you go to Google Maps you will see a 'send' option. You can send an address by telling Google you have a BMW in the U.S. Then give it that same email address. When you get in the car, check messages and your destination will be there.. all ready to start guidance. You can also save the address to your BMW. It is quite cool.

Google maps doesn't display the send to car option for me. What am I doing wrong?

If I go to maps.google.de the send to car option appears. Obviously, this isn't the way to do it.

1) Go to googlemaps.

2) Type in an address.

3) Click on "Send" in the upper right hand corner of the map.

4) Click on car

5) Select BMW

6) Type in the e-mail address you registered with your BMWAssist account.

Yes, very cool feature I use all the time.

Send address from Google Maps, jump in the car, hit messages and hit the navigate to button. Works awesome!
