Euro rear fog light
installed it when I first got the car but today was the first day I used it.
I unfortunately had to drive on the 407 from Markham to Mississauga and had it on in these white out conditions. Didn't push it but the xi with snows was solid |

Those are the non-enabled fog lights in North American 3-series. Reverse are above it.
You need to either modify your existing switch or get a new euro switch to get the rear fogs.

Without the euro switch mod, the only time these lights will come on is when you stand on the brakes in an emergency stop. They're designed to let the cars behind you know you're stopping quickly. Otherwise, they'll never come on during regular driving.

They are red lights. Reverse lights are white. They would look like really bright brake lights; which is what they are.

So what I'm wondering is...
the knob is for turning the main lights on / off the top right button is for the front fogs the lower right button is empty, but in Europe it's for the rear fogs what is the large empty button on the left side for? |

It is suppose to be a manual aim control for the headlight in some countries... I believe this is a halogen only feature

I did the "rear fog light" mod, comes in handy when some a-hole is tailgating me ! I've already used it when we had bad weather.
