both chips were rather tiny in size(one like a pea and the other smaller than a sesame), one I didn't notice after a while and one I saw it happened on HWY401 both repaired at Apple autoglass, called a couple of BMW stealerships and they quoted me $180, Apple: $68.
I haven't been driving a lot, less than 4000km since I took delivery, been driving 50% HWY and 50% city, one of the Apple autoglass techs actually told me windshields on bimmers are "weaker" than other cars, any comments? |

Of course...I am just making a comparison with regards to the 'weakness' of the finishing of the cars these days. thats why it wouldn't surprise me that the windshield is also super weak.

im not sure if it is weaker but i got my windshield replaced before on my e90 due to a stonechip. But i know that it becomes worse if you dont fix it, so it sucks.
for the chips on the body i would strongly recommend the 3m chip guard, my prev black audi's front was full of pits after 9 months of driving. so i had to get the chip guard with my e92. |

I hear you, currently, I get annual chip fills/blends with a full clay bar/scratch removal, seems to work well. You are right though....I'm looking into it for spring.

$180! Wow... Budd's in Oakville filled about 4 of them for $90 in the summer, and did an excellent job. I can only really still see the two larger ones, and none have grown larger since. |

Sorry to thread jack, but what's a good place to get a chip filled in?
I have one that's dead center in my view and it drives me up the wall. lol
