The Logic7 suites it's purpose, but it really isn't a high-fidelity system.
You would be better served spending the extra $875 on a high quality plug n play amplifier. Something near 80w per channel, nohing huge or outrageous. You will still have some cash left over to replace the subs with something slighter more efficient and deeper. All for the same price as the DSP HU! |

I just got my 2008 328i coupe and it looks and drives great! But the standard speaker system sucks! The volume is barely high enough to hear when driving fast and its frustrating receiving satellite radio thru those awful powerless speakers. Does anyone know of any aftermarket solution that would not involve changing the original head unit?

Well, I checked my car to make sure I'm not totally crazy and it appears there's only seven bands... could have sworn it was 10.
Anyway, the 2nd from the bottom is 200Hz and the bottom is 80Hz. I think it sounds a little thin (poor bass) unless I tweak up the 200Hz by a click or two and the 80Hz by two or three clicks. At that setting I can just use the normal "bass" knob to dial back and forth between thumpy and normal depending on the type of music. Sometimes I add a 1-2 rise on the top bands as well, but it makes talk radio (ie NPR) sound kind of tinny so I usually bring it back down to flat after a few days. Usually I tweak the EQ here and there, then every month or two bring it back flat and start over |
