Many of you already know of my Volk situation, sucks for sure.

At this point, I can either get the Gloss Black LE37's that are in stock now and powder-coat them to Silver or...

Get on with the CE model in Silver. I have no idea how long this order would take.



Funny thing is these are in STOCK NOW, but in Bronze, no way with Arctic! If I had white, I would get these in Bronze. I could also get these now in bronze and powder-coat them.

I really want to use the powder-coat option as a last resort.

So what do you guys/gals think? What to do?

agreed that bronze and arctic would make an odd couple


black wheels are sort of cool, and you'd never have to clean them!


I'm not sure I'd trust a powder coating job to be done correctly, I think you'd be better off by far to just get what you want from the start

Honestly Danny, as much as I love the CE28N's...I would just get what they have in stock as opposed to further waiting. It would suck if you had to wait another 8 months for your wheels.

Can they give you a deep discount on the LE 37's? I think powdercoating them gunmetal would look HOT on Arctic.

Yea, I'm nervous about powder coating. Not concerned at all about the product, I'm just scared as hell of something going wrong, and with my luck so far, it might! I've come this far...

I hear ya. Whatever the case, I am NOT waiting another 8 months, 90 days () MAX. If I order, they will be air-frieghted to me here instead of a container ship. That should save about 3 weeks off the typical wait. Man, I'm nervous about murphy's law creeping in on my rims if I give them up for coating. I'd love to get what I want/the way I want it after waiting all this time. Volk for me is now a love/hate thing.

If I can't get what I want in the time I want, I will get either the LE's in gloss black or the CE's in bronze and powder coat them...or get my money back. I can't really get any more of a discount, my options are air-freight or powder coating.

I might end up doing this! I'm going to give the CE's a shot, if not powder coat city, here I come!

i would go with black. it will look nice once its on the car. black will go nice with blackline you got.

Hey HRC, this is a little off topic, but do you know if Volk can be special order with 5x120 pattern and more E90 friendly offset? Reason I am asking is , I love Volks and looking to get wheels soon, but I only like the Mesh style..(SF winnings...etc)

Trying to wait it out, agree, can't do Bronze on Arctic, I'm harcore, but not that hardcore!

I just never really liked black rims unless it was on a track car, or at least a more agressive car then mine, but who knows, if I can't get anywhere, I may just get the GB's or save my $$ for AAD jr. like you said!

Go HERE for the list of applications. Only rims with "Euro Fitments" are offered by Volk for our cars. So within those applications, you can see if your style is offered. The SF Winning is not offered. So the only "custom orders you can get are those rims which are listed but in different offsets. but beware, Volk will batch your order until they have enough to warrant a production run. I wanted Silver LE's in a custom offset and have been waiting for 8 months and there is still no plans to run it.

I have 0 problems taking your order if it comes in before mine. 0. But, the thing is, I already paid my my set. So I can't give you the money for your set. So if I can get your order, I'll take it, but I have already paid Dave for my set.
